Trust & Identity WG Meeting and SWITCH edu-ID Update Event 2021: ---------------------------------------------------------------- Please save the date: *26.5.2021* Roadmap 2021: ------------- First priority in 2021 is to grant stable operation of the service for a continuously increasing number of organisations and users (377'000 today). Beside the rollout of edu-ID login for O365 and for OIDC, and the upgrade to IdPv4, SWITCH would like to implement passwordless login methods and enhance support for service integration, if resources are sufficient. P-5 funding runs out mid 2021: ------------------------------ swissuniversites has extended the Swiss edu-ID project Step 3&4 until mid 2021. Participating universities with ongoing adoption projects will therefore be able to finalize them and will receive the reporting forms in summer.   Successful swisscovery GoLive in December: ------------------------------------------ Around 98'000 people have registered so far for SLSP - 60'000 of them already owned a SWITCH edu-ID. The new library catalogue swisscovery is available at https://swisscovery.slsp.ch. Registration and authentication requires a SWITCH edu-ID account. Additional data is necessary for this library services. Therefore users have to register also at**https://registration.slsp.ch <https://registration.slsp.ch>and to add some data as postal address or birth date. In 2021 we would like to go ahead and discuss with you options like passwordless login to increase security even further and improve usability. SWITCH will launch a PoC together with 9 universities, define use cases, test features and check the usability of the test environment.
